Gen. Colin Powell Endorses Senator Barack Obama

A few minutes ago General Colin Powell, former Secretary Of State, endorsed Barack Obama for President on Meet the Press. He explained that he made his decision a few months ago, "I think we need a transformational figure in this nation". While he does not plan on campaigning for Obama he was critical of his own parties tactics and socially divisive nature. He mentioned how Obama is consistently linked with being Muslim and associating with terrorists. He, like Campbell Brown, decried "so what if he was a Muslim"?
