Which McCain will show up at tonight's debate?

Tonight’s third and final Presidential Debate is the most crucial for John McCain. Not for him to close the current 14 point lead of Barack Obama but to save his own legacy. Putting aside the Presidential Race for 2008, John McCain has been a true leader, a man of character, and a symbol of integrity in the United Sates Senate. He once commanded and deserved the respect of the nation.

Sadly, this campaign has been his demise. We, the American public, have watched our once noble hero resort to anything to win office. His campaign has stooped to the worst negative campaigning in memory. His candidacy has incited such racial division and hatred within his own Republican party that he was recently forced to directly correct the misinformation his campaign perpetuates.

Tonight, I hope to see the John McCain that I once respected resurface. Hopefully the debate will be devoid of the obvious contempt that he displays for Obama. I would like to see John McCain regain his self respect and honor and debate on the issues. If you truly are not another George W. Bush then stop resorting to the same campaign tactics that helped get him elected. They will no longer work, America is waking up; I implore John McCain to do the same. I hate to believe that the desperate, unethical man you are today is truly who you always were.
